Greetings ALL!

We have some very exciting news to share with you. It's actually in two parts.

First off, as most of you know, we have had a wonderful man step forward who is committed to raising the necessary funds for us to purchase the church building in Brownsburg for Victory Harvest Ministries. The church will serve as an administration building for Victory Harvest Ministries which will include offices for Victory Bible Camp, Victory Retreat Center, Chapel Wedding Services and of course Victory Harvest Church. Victory Harvest Church congregation will use the building for as long as they need. Future plans are to build a regional church out near the Autoroute 50 which will become the major highway connecting Montreal to Gatineau/Hull/Ottawa. Brownsburg is the halfway point.

Secondly, while we were living and Pastoring in Laval we were on a weekly radio program called The Voice of Victory Radio. I have always enjoyed radio work and have had in mind of one day having another program here in the Brownsburg region. I know it would be a wonderful thing.

On our recent trip to New Brunswick we were scheduled to visit a church in Blackville. As I pull into the church parking lot, I see a sign that reads "LIFE 101.1". When I get inside I ask the pastor about the sign and he replies, "Oh yes, we've had a radio station here for 6 years". From that moment on I began to fire the questions about operating a station. He was so informative and expressed that he would help us if we wanted to do such a thing in our area. My heart was pounding out of my chest as he explained that it's not as complicated as one would think. He gave me the grand tour of their station and the wheels of excitment began whirling in my brain. Since coming home I have been extensively looking into all that would be required to get licensing and equipment for a new extension of Victory Harvest Ministries.

Our plan is to set up a station at the church. It will take a while to have our licensing processed and to secure the necessary equipment needed. The transmitter will be low wattage covering Argenteuil County, Quebec. A tentative launch date will be sometime early in the new year. However, along with this plan we intend to begin broadcasting as early as January via the Internet. We already have the equipment needed to operate online. As you can appreciate, this means that we will be broadcasting world-wide. No matter where you live, you will be able to connect with Victory Harvest Ministries and keep up-to-date with all of our projects, outreaches, etc. plus listen to some good gospel music.

Another note of excitment for me is that during the broadcast day, I would like to put my dad's messages (Raymond J. Roach) on the air. He was a great man of God and touched many lives. He preached down to earth sermons with stories that will make you laugh and cry at the same time. We have hundreds of his messages recorded and I feel they should be shared with the world!!

Anyway, I don't know if you are as excited as I am, but I know, that I know, that I know, that this is a good thing!! So keep your ears and eyes open because before long you will hear..... "Welcome to the Voice of Victory! WVIC FM101.1 Where Victory Is Cherished!"

Thanks for rejoicing with me!!

LABOURING FOR THE LORD JESUS!
We moved to Montreal in 1995. Sis. Fayetta Larson was living in Ville St. Laurent at the time. She got to the place where it was difficult for her to climb the stairs to her apartment and we needed a place to live, so we moved into her apartment for the first 6 months that we were here. She attended our English service in Montreal up until she moved back to New Brunswick. During this time Sis. Larson would often speak of Bro. Larson and his love for the people of Quebec. The one thing that stands out in my mind is how she often made mention of the communities they had visited when Bro. Larson was still alive. She would tell how he would stop his car and get out beside it and begin to pray earnestly for that community. He would pray, Oh God, Raise up a people for you Name in the town!”

Just before Sis. Larson left for New Brunswick, she handed me a piece of paper with the list of Communities they had visited. There are around 40 towns listed. I feel indebted to Bro. and Sis. Larson as a Pastor who has been called to Quebec for such a time as this. Someone needs to pick up the torch and run with it. There are many towns and villages throughout Quebec who do not have a “clarion” voice lifting up the Name of Jesus. I believe the prayers of Bro. Larson will be answered!! Someone needs to heed the call and enter into another man’s labour.

I’m reminded of the scripture in John that says, Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

Also the scripture in Matthew that says, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
Would you, today, take few moments and pray for the people of Quebec? Pray this prayer with me. Dear Jesus, I thank you for those who have labored and those who are laboring for the Lord in the Province of Quebec. Give them the strength and the resources they need to further the Gospel to all parts of the province. Soften the hearts of the people! Open their eyes to see Truth! Let them hear your Word and respond to the message of Truth. Raise up a people for the Name of Jesus Christ!! This we pray in Jesus’ Name! Amen!

Love and Prayers,
Bro. Steve Roach
